It’s been a long time coming, but finally talk has started, a very cool, fun, talented producer has been found, and recording of my first studio album is due to commence in early 2015.
As you can imagine, I’m pretty excited about the whole deal. For a long time, my songs were very private and precious to me (they still are) to the point that I wouldn’t let anyone touch them… somewhat in manner of lioness with cub. But there comes a time when things seem to start to fall into place – encounters occur at unexpected times, opportunities arise, and quite suddenly, as is my nature, it all felt right, and I finally felt ready to bring my songs to life.
I have no deadlines and am in no great rush, as I’m looking forward to the process itself, as much as the end product (I say that now… I’ll see how well my patience lasts once I get into the studio), but I expect the end result will come in March/April of next year.
What You Lost will give you a sense of what to expect, as it’s my first recording with Producer Extraordinaire, Jamie Muscat. Fun times ahead!
